Renewable Energy and Efficiency Bills take center stage April 2
The newly formed Subcommittee on Renewables and Energy Efficiency meets bright and early tomorrow morning (April 2). This hearing represents a tremendous opportunity for advocates of clean energy. ACT is tracking all of the fourteen bills that will be heard.
Here’s the bill list for tomorrow:

| HB 695 | Anchia | Relating to the establishment of a loan incentive program to promote energy efficiency in apartment buildings. |
| HB 1391 | Strama | Relating to the creation and authority of certain special districts to promote the use of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency improvements. |
| HB 1646 | Burnam | Relating to electric utility energy goals and programs and demand reduction targets; creating an office of energy efficiency development in the state energy conservation office. |
| HB 1697 | Martinez | Relating to a solar energy technology generation incentive program to be administered by electric utilities. |
| HB 1762 | Chavez | Relating to improving state energy conservation, including through the use of thermostat settings. |
| HB 1993 | Anchia | Relating to certain energy technologies for critical governmental facilities. |
| HB 2194 | Christian | Relating to the goal of installing additional capacity for generating renewable energy. |
| HB 2783 | Anchia | Relating to the adoption of energy efficient building standards. |
| HB 2850 | Farabee | Relating to goals for renewable energy capacity derived from renewable energy sources other than sources using wind energy. |
| HB 3375 | Deshotel | Relating to energy efficiency measures and technologies. |
| HB 3567 | Madden | Relating to energy savings performance contracts. |
| HB 3706 | Coleman | Relating to the creation of a Tex Sun solar energy system rebate program. |
